WASHINGTON -- Occasional grumbling by some prominent conservatives about President Bush sometimes overshadows his extremely solid support among stalwart Republicans and conservatives around the country.

Many Republicans and Democrats seem to agree that support by itself does not tilt the 2002 elections toward the GOP. Some, however, say it could offset the gains the party out of the White House -- Democrats, in this case -- historically has made in midterm elections.

As long as we are told the alternative is a Yugo, of course we ought to be thrilled in comparison to settle for the Chevy Chevette because it runs a bit better and at least has a/c.

You cannot POSSIBLY be serious -- ROFLMAO -- exactly how long did it take you to think up that particular little ditty?

She might win a divorce in 2008, which would not I suspect require a primary process.

"Natural Law Party"

OMG, Did I tell you that I received a FREE book in the mail the other day........"How to have WORLDWIDE Peace, in ten easy lessons" (the exact title is unknown at this time as I've now landfilled it) and it involved invoking transendental meditation? This came from some "think tank" in Iowa, with a little internet research, I found the origin to be the "Natural Law Party!" How on earth did I get on this mailing list?

Bush signed the CFR bill because in his opinion, it had more good than bad in it. I agree he should have vetoed it. Is it enough for me to vote against him and put Hillary in office. Not even close.

Standing alone, its not a deal-breaker for me either... but it doesn't help.

And it will create other messes we'll be grappling with later.

I see. You have now exposed yourself as one of those tacky right wingers who only want the rules to apply to HER rights, and nobody else's.

BTW, I didn't see you posting where it says in the Constitution that you personally have a right to pray in government buildings.

Now, I'm not asking you what you THINK it says, I'm asking for the EXACT WORDS.

Ya it is in Fairfield, Iowa, emanating from the Mararishi college that used to be Parsons College until it folded, where parents paid high tuition for their kids to party 24/7. The natural law party in that county I think got 10% of the vote or something.

The right to sodomy in front of kids?

How do you KNOW that those guys don't believe in sodomy on public grounds as THEIR religion?

And didn't we doubt Bubba would win in '96 and Hillary in New York?

The NEA will have sufficiently dumbed-down and indoctrinated more than enough morons by 2008, while the Media and Entertainment industries will not doubt do their respective dirty deeds in aiding Hillary's projected landslide victory.

Then what is your solution?

Yeah and when she said she was running for NY senator I laughed. But I no longer take anything for granted, not after a pure socialist like Hillary won office. I now put nothing past the American people.

This nation is filled with sheep. They have been born and raised in an atmosphere saturated in political correctness. You can no longer trust our fellow countrymen to make reasonable choices. Our country is now divided into 2 groups, those who have no clue our freedom is going, and those who do. Unfortunately those who don't make up 80% of this nation.

Hillary is dangerous. In 2008 their will be no other strong democratic candidate and Bush will have probably won a second term. The nation will be tired of republicans and want something new. As we all know people don't really think when they vote anymore, Al Gore getting a little over 50% of the votes some illegaly while trying to stop our service men and woman from getting their votes counted because he knew they were republican votes should be a testament to that.

We are on the brink, we have lost the culture war. The only war we have left is the war to once again retake our nation. That time is coming. It might not be today or tommorrow, but it will be coming in the next decade or two. True Americans will not stand by and watch their country die, just like our founders did not sit by and let an evil English government rule them like slaves.

History shows that everything repeats when society no longer remembers their own history. Sadly many Americans have forgotten their. In a time when our founders can actually be banned from history in schools, we know that time of forgotten history is fast approaching.

"America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves" Abraham Lincoln

"America is like a healthy body and its resistence is three-fold: Its patriotism, its morality and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within." Joseph Stalin

Cool. I don't see where it doesn't. Silly anti-christian laws, aren't they?

And the fringers will stand on their " principles " and refuse to vote for a GOP candidate; thusly, ensuring not only a President Hitlery!, but a Dem majority in both Houses.

Of course, that is the scenario for those who are FR masochists. Those of us, who aren't political naifs, don't , as a rule, induge in such tinfoil nightmares.

With Klinton's money man heading the DNC, does anyone doubt she's not running in 2004???

Is there any doubt she could win?

Nope, cause the same 43% that voted for the pervert would vote for her in a heartbeat. It's the other 57% us who have to hang together or hang seperately.

"Then what is your solution"?

IMO, the political demolition of Hildabeest once and for all ought to be on the drawing board as we speak...

That is, if the GOP has a spare testicle out of the bunch.

What's amazing is how close she came to losing in a state where ANY Democrat can get elected without trying, and after a fawning press had coronated her, and her ONE opponent in the primary, with no name recognition, got 40%.

And she does not play well with the rest of America. She can write off the entire South and Midwest; she'll do poorly (if at all) in the Rust Belt; and being a trial lawyer means she will get NO financial help from the Silicon Valley moneybags. And if Gates decides to engage in a little payback, she can write off Washington state.
