Hobsonphile, who rode the recently none-too-reliable Amtrak rails from Baltimore; Arcturus, NYC GOP Chick and her father (see GOP Chick's picture page above); Oschisms; Cacique, who did a running thread from a cell phone with craqed, who is a new freeper posting from Mississippi; John P. Cutter; Black Agnes; southern rock, who had to come all the way across the street; Don Rosenberg, president of the National Traditionalist Caucus and his friends Kevin and Chris; Chukcha and his wife Isabella and their son Kevin; Dutchy, who made a bunch of signs and informed the AP of the rally; Alice L., Judy D., and Paula R.; Coleus and friend Sally from New Jersey.
Many thanks to all of you for making this a successful rally. You are the greatest for showing up and standing in the sun (which turned out not to be too bad after all), bringing water, fetching iced tea, and just being your wonderful freeper selves. Bless you for standing up for freedom.
I've finally woken up after the events of yesterday. :) I made it back to my apartment in Baltimore at 12:30 last night and crashed as soon as my head hit the pillow. Thank you to all of the NY Freepers who took me to Ground Zero, the Seaport, the Macy's on 34th Street, etc. and bought me drinks for winning the distance award. Please freepmail me with your screen names, because I don't want to forget anybody.
Yesterday's freep was pretty tame compared to my first freep in DC. Most of the leftists stayed inside. My personal favorite, though, was the woman who walked by yelling at us to "protect the Constitution," thereby revealing her complete ignorance of the right wing and her own hypocrisy. Number one, we on the right ARE concerned about potential constitutional concerns during this war. Our support for the war is not automatic support for all the actions of the Justice Department. Number two, we know d*mn well that the people who associate themselves with IAC don't give a flying fart about the Constitution. They hate the United States Constitution and would tear it down in violent revolution if they had the chance. Protect the Constitution my a$$- don't tell me you are a defender of the Constitution when people of your ilk do everything they can to silence those who disagree with you.
As I told everyone at the freep, I've spent the past few weeks arguing with a raving leftist loon, so you'll have to forgive my aggressiveness. I'm usually much milder than that, as my brother will attest. :)
Anyway, I'm glad I got up at 4am to join you all in the Big Apple. Good freep and God bless America!
LOL! Hey, it ain't exactly easy freepin' in your own backyard. When you live in this neighborhood, it's like sticking a scarlet letter on your head.
It's O.K. though, I can take it. It was a fun time freepin' the anti-American commie crowd with you all.
Actually, just this afternoon I saw one of the same guys who was handing out commie propaganda at F.I.T. yesterday, standing at the corner of 23rd and 8th holding up a sign that read, "War is Terrorism too!" Nothing better to do on a Sunday afternoon, I suppose.
Ha! War is confronting an enemy head-on. War has honor. Terrorism is striking an enemy when her back is turned- there is no honor in that.
Notice the jihad scarves wrapped around their heads and the kid (or midget) wearing a palestinian flag as a cape.
Yet another pro-plo thug with his back to us.
And now for some good guys -- the patriots:
As a survivor of the WTC attacks and a resident of that neighborhood, I take great personal offense as these commie clymers coming to my city, which is still healing, to hector about "peace" and all that bull-clinton.
And since you asked for more pictures, here ya go:
