As I recall, that was actually ATF.

FBI was there as well. If WACO had been handled with an ounce of common sense the arrest of Korish would have been a page 6 yawn article in the local paper. A well trained officer will arrest a person in the least dangerous place. That would have been away from his followers in town where they knew he frequented. Typical cult behavior depends on a leader. They come in loaded to the teeth to a bunch of people who think the world is ending what do they think will happen? As for the AFT? Abolish it as it is too corrupt to save. We have more than enough federal agencies running around with badges and Marshall authority these days. So many in fact they are tripping on each others feet like the AFT FBI is. Even my electrical power producer has U.S. Marshall empowered officers running the roads in my state with vehicles with light bars marked only as POLICE. The agency is TVA.

I can see them having that power only on their places of their power plants but no they should not be involved with local police matters nor allowed to do stops off their reservation unless it directly involves their plants. Federal Police powers are way out of hand and given freely to many agencies for general usage.

Place the ATF's job under the authority of the individual states. If it is Interstate trafficing then bring in the FBI. The same with the DEA shut them down and transfer the enforcement to the states. Again with Interstate trafficing bring in the FBI. Use one central agency answerable to congress instead of creating more agencies and increasing the problems they are causing.
