The funniest/dumbest part about all of this? About the government taxing us out of our minds? Eventually, they may well succeed in making cigarettes too expensive for just about everyone. THEN where will they get their money?? They'd go bloody BROKE!!

What a stupid idea!!

Already a pretty good sized "grey market" going for cigs in a lot of areas. Governments whining about it more and more every day - the lost revenue hurts children, you know.

Taxing cigarettes at the current prevailing rates is taxation without representation, and the grey is darkening. I predict there will be bloodshed in this war on smokers before it is over. Money talks, and $80 million a day will kill if necessary.

My firend you have this correct!!!!!!

The state of Delaware has just kicked smokers out on the street, the Governor signed the most draconian anti-smoker law in the country this morning. Next week, the Legislature comes back into session and the big thing will be the budget. The same Governor who has just kicked us out in the street wants a 35cent a pack tax increase on cigarettes to pay for state employees raises.

Think about it - the same state employees who are going to fine smokers for breaking this ridiculaous law are going to get a pay raise funded solely by the smokers.
