Thanks for your contribution to this prayer thread.

Surely, there are battles in the spiritual realms that we cannot see. Jesus Christ was and is the infite eternal Son of the Triune God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), Savior, Redeemer, and soon coming King. He prayed while walking this earth as the God-man, Emmanuel, God with us - because of the corruption that is in this world and because of His great need to be in unhindered touch with His Father - who is also OUR Father. The corruptions of this world make that communion with the Father very difficult. But communion in prayer with Him is something without which Jesus could not go forward and the same for us now. But, praise His Holy Name, He has given us the Holy Spirit who came to bring life from the dead and who is our daily Comforter, Guide, and Companion. The Holy Spirit defers to the Son and the Son defers to the Father. And, somehow, in the great good news that Jesus came to bring us, we are offered a share in that communion. No matter what happens, we can and must always pray. And if and when we cannot, we have the joy to know (esp. here at FR) there are others who will pray for us. It is connecting us to the Eternal God, the Holy One, that we do when in real prayer. And, with Bible open (as someone said today) with God's Word as the light unto our path, and the lamp unto our feet, somehow He will bring us through the darkness into the Light of His presence.
