This is our prayer:
that life may be intense and beautiful as the sunrise
that if we must part, death may be noble and purifying as the storm
that love may be immortal and never ending as God has made us to be.

Pain is so hard to bear - it is only the beauty of those lives, in their former joy and in their present sorrow, that redeems the journey through pain. At the end of that journey, whether on earth or in heaven, there is healing. God, ease our pain. Ease our suffering. Heal us. We turn to You, who suffers with us, in Jesus name...
