"MSNBC is one station that doesn't get much airtime at my house. Good thing you have a sense of humor to watch that channel while working out!

Oh, believe me, I'm working on my gym, and the choices we have for "news". They did a survey recently, and I got to pick from MSNBC, CNBC or NBC....ESPN. Not much of a choice there, eh? At my house......never!

That's no contest -- Congressman J.C. Watts, Jr., my Congressman BTW, is an outstanding representative of the people of the 4th District of the Great State of Oklahoma. BTW, he has been elected to office and no one speaks better for Americans than Cong J. C. Watts, Jr. who also happens to be a Minister. You don't have to have a PhD to figure out what J.C. says and he certainly is not boring! In fact, his sermons are terrific!

Who cares if they all sound the same. The principle is what counts. The statements about restoring America are what matter. The more groups doing it then the better it is.

I'm the creator of RenewAmerica.tv--and I can assure everyone that this new Keyes site is not imitative of J.C. Watts' American Renewal PAC or his website. The Alan Keyes' RenewAmerica movement began during the Republican National Convention in Philadelphia in August 2000, and it borrowed its theme from the "Renew America Rallies" that Alan Keyes had held throughout his run for the Presidency during the primaries.

Fully 18 months went into the creation of the Keyes site, independently of any other political entity, movement, organization, or cause. The focus from the outset--as the site itself will reveal to an open-minded examination--was to strengthen ALL OTHER Americanist movements and organizations through effective cooperation. The site exists not to compete with (nor to rip off), but to enhance the work of all other comparable sites. The site is deadly serious about wanting to bring like-minded Americans together and overcome an unfortunate, counterproductive climate of carping and nipping among conservatives.

Patriotic citizens need to unite in preserving our nation--or we won't have a nation much longer.

You might be interested to know that when I was in Washington DC back in March, I personally gave J.C. Watts a business card promoting the RenewAmerica.tv website on the steps of the Capitol and inviting him to visit it. He graciously accepted the card. I have nothing but respect for this great and good man.

You've piqued my interest, though. I've never seen J.C.'s website, but I'm curious to know whether there are any "coincidental" similarities between his and Alan Keyes'.

Finally, there are several organizations out there using the Renew America theme. We were lucky to acquire the URL RenewAmerica.tv two weeks before we ever learned that MSNBC wanted Alan to have his own television show. The URL acquisition turned out to be Providential.

That was my point, along with the vindictiveness that appears every time something with Keyes' name attached to it is posted in the forum. I'm tired of the pettiness.

I think I would opt for ESPN! That is no choice at all!

Ditto. Americans who have the same goal in mind--restoring America to its roots--would accomplish more if they unite together instead of bickering over who's idea it was first.

What was that statement of Reagan's? "There is no limit to what a man can accomplish if he doesn't care who gets the credit." Something like that.

Any stick'll serve to beat a dead horse.

This is great news. I wish you all the very best.

That's the point. If you can't be original and get there on your own, ride someone else's coattails!

OK. Cool. Yes you can predict what the tone the of the thread is before you even open it. In the old days on FR people were judged by what they had to say about preserving our country and things like that. Today it is all about who said what about GW or the republicans, and other petty stuff. It is so hard for me to have the hope that we all once had. I wish the majority here still cared about what we all cared about back then.

Gee, you and "RenewAmerica.tv" have such similar posting styles. You guys twins, maybe? I am sure no one would sign up under a different monicker out of embarassment of supporting Keyes, would they?

Thanks. And it can still bring tears to the eyes to see some of the old Reagan speech's. He sure was a man of principle who cared about old fashioned vaules and the American way. I supose he was not perfect, and he was sucked into a bit of the globalist crap himself. But he was the best thing America ever had for many many years.

You know...you and a ceartin James who used to be real close to Clinton have similar posting styles too. You would not happen to be James standing beside himself would you?

IIRC... Newt's book and college course was called something very close to this as well.

Come on, girls....There are only so many ways to say that you'd like to renew America.
If I rhymed 'Moon' with 'June', I would not be the first.

Sad but true. I have teenagers at home... so I guess I can ignore the adults acting like teenagers here (most of the time) without much more emotional stress.

P.S. Back on the topic of the thread...
It looks like Alan Keyes is going to make even more positive use of his increasing visibility; with the show and the RenewAmerica project, we may actually have a chance to bring America back to its founding ideals. Keyes has a great gift of persuasive speech; and his dedication to the cause is unflappable. God Bless him!
