  ****FOR WIDE DISTRIBUTION****

Dear Fellow American,

We're excited to announce the launching of a new grassroots activist effort called RenewAmerica. This national effort is a project of Alan Keyes' political base, the Declaration Alliance.

The purpose of RenewAmerica is to build a broadly inclusive grassroots movement that will restore America to its founding ideals--through the efforts of dedicated citizens like yourself and the leadership of Alan Keyes.

To learn more about this exciting project, visit http://www.RenewAmerica.tv

The site offers:

  1. Useful resources, guidance, alerts, links, and other helps for America's grassroots.

  2. Daily updates and inside information about Alan's new MSNBC TV show.

  3. A strategic plan for renewing America upon the vision of our Founders.

  4. A practical handbook for effective activism.

  5. The most extensive Alan Keyes archives on the web.

The website invites the interest of ALL people who consider themselves loyal Americans. The site has no philosophy, image, or agenda beyond this one unifying premise: America must return to its founding principles if it is to survive.

Please join us in this endeavor and sign up for our regular activist updates. We need your strength. Visit the site often--for self-helps, suggestions, and guidance for organizing.

And feel free to take our banners and disseminate them. Go to: http://www.renewamerica.tv/banners.pl?website=RenewAmerica.tv

We look forward to hearing from you.

A Message from Alan Keyes

Welcome to www.RenewAmerica.tv, and to the community we are building here of Americans determined to make our nation worthy again of the gifts we have received from Providence, and from our Founders. Everything I have done in my public life has rested on the truth that, in America, it is the people who make good things happen, because it is the people who have the Founding principles of America most deeply in their hearts. RenewAmerica.tv is dedicated to the vision of a nation renewed by the labor of its common citizens, working together with intelligence and determination.

Working together, we can restore our people's confidence in their ability to govern themselves wisely and well. We can remind the American people that our Founders made no mistake when they wrote that God created us all equal in dignity. Working together, we can begin to remember what it is like for a free people to live together as fellow citizens, as friends, as a free people, under God.

The resources available on this carefully and wisely constructed website are intended as a catalyst for the real engine of reform in America: the principled energy you bring to the job, and are willing to share with others. Please join me by making RenewAmerica.tv the center of your participation in the renewal of American liberty.

Keep Faith,

Alan Keyes

God isn't done with America yet, my friend.

As long as there are men and women of good will who pray and work and believe, it ain't over.

The fight for life and liberty has never been easy; in fact other generations have had to pay a fearful price to maintain it.

There are still millions across this country who get it.

I love Alan Keyes, but that Mr. Rodgers cardigan sweater has got to go. It annoys me whenever I see men wearing ugly clothes.

"I'm sorry, my reading of the site shows it to be much more about promoting Dr. Keyes than about promoting the Declaration, the Constitution, or the ideals of our Founding Fathers. Alan Keyes might in fact plan to do those things, but the goal of Renew America seems to be "disseminating the message of Ambassador Alan Keyes", as the site says.

"Here's another sample of what bothers me - you'll notice it's all about promoting Dr. Ambassador Keyes - not about promoting the government of our Founding Fathers."

The focus of RenewAmercia is, as you wrote, about trying to disseminate the message of Alan Keyes--the site makes that very clear. But what is the message of Dr. Keyes? Returning our nation to the ideals that formed our nation--i.e the Declaration and Constitution. What's wrong with that?

Alan Keyes hasn't worn the "Mr. Rogers" sweater on his show for months.

Yes, thankfully he hasn't. For the most part, his wardrobe isn't bad.

BTW, don't you think that your screename is a little creepy?

LOL! Yes, I guess it could be. It actually refers to the eye on the dollar bill, which according to history represents the eye of the Almighty on America. My handle is meant to remind Americans of God's role in this nation's life. (Perhaps it's a little ambiguous)

Are you sure about that one? When I was a kid, I wanted to be an Egyptologist, like many other kids, and I could have sworn that that eye you are referring to on the dollar bill is the Egyptian eye of Osiris or Horace, I can't remember which one. I have no idea whose idea it was to put that on the dollar bill, it seems sort of silly to me, like someone didn't know their history.

I get it. I think it's too easy during drive time or in the evening to get too involved with radio talk shows or cable shows about current events. The fight for life and liberty gets diluted by all the incoming messages that we are bombarded with.

The millions across this country who do get it, believe in these "United" States of America.

I am waiting to see more positive posts. Do we need an Optimist's Chapter here at Free Republic to offset all the doom and gloomers that have written off this great nation and are resorting to scapegoating as well?

What is missing in your analysis is the demonstrable fact that the "message" of Alan Keyes consists almost exclusively in the Declaration, the Constitution, and the ideals of our Founding Fathers. There is no substantive difference. In fact, you couldn't find in all America an individual whose "message"--basic views, insights, and observations--is more consistent with the vision of our Founders than Alan Keyes.

Just as important--you couldn't find an individual who is more skilled or persuasive in communicating what it means to be an American than Alan Keyes.

It is Alan's unimpeachable knowledge of America's foundational ideals that makes his "message" worth disseminating throughout our nation. I am baffled that anyone could find fault with a positive movement to preserve our nation through spreading the Declarationist message of Dr. Keyes. If someone has a better alternative, I'd like to hear it.

Again--just as your quotations from RenewAmerica.tv reveal--it is the MESSAGE of Alan Keyes that we are interested in, not the man.

Not that he's not admirable, exemplary, or worthy to lead. He's all that and more, I have found, as have others who have firsthand knowledge of him.

Please read the rest of the Strategic Plan and the companion Handbook. They're all about unleashing the creativity and independence of people at the grassroots to make a difference in strengthening America. For such a movement to be effective, however, it must have a leader, one who is unassailable as a role model for Declarationists and Constitutionalists. I repeat what I said earlier--a movement without a leader has no power to change anything. That is one of the clearest lessons of history.

I invite every patriotic citizen to get involved in our work. The purpose of RenewAmerica is to promote our country--not Alan Keyes.

It sure seems that way. Our country is in bad shape, but that's only because good people sit by and do nothing about it. We can save this nation, if we unite together, remember our principles, and look to God for help--just as our Founders did.

An optimist's chapter on FR is definitely needed. Where do I sign up? :)

FYI, from this website: http://www.centercoin.com/currency_information/FAQ/one_dollar_bill.htm

What Is The Significance Of The Symbols On The Back Of The One-Dollar Bill?

The eye and the pyramid shown on the reverse side of the one-dollar bill are in the Great Seal of the United States. The Great Seal was first used on the reverse of the one-dollar Federal Reserve note in 1935. The Department of State is the official keeper of the Seal. They believe that the most accurate explanation of a pyramid on the Great Seal is that it symbolizes strength and durability. The unfinished pyramid means that the United States will always grow, improve and build. In addition, the "All-Seeing Eye" located above the pyramid suggests the importance of divine guidance in favor of the American cause.

The inscription ANNUIT COEPTIS translates as "He (God) has favored our undertakings," and refers to the many instances of Divine Providence during our Government's formation. In addition, the inscription NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM translates as "A new order of the ages," and signifies a new American era. If you are interested in a more detailed history of the Great Seal of the United States, you should contact the Department of State directly.

Let's keep this thread bumped to the top and I'll add you to my ping list. By keeping a positive attitude, we can set an example for others who are on the fence so much of the time. It's not a good time to be indecisive or negative IMO because the opposition means business every day of the week.

The honorable Alen Keyes, in the words of another one of my favorite hard-hitting, big thinking and take-no-prisoners unabashed lovers of America, Ted Nugent, "kicks maximum ass"!

Some people think he's overbearing, condescending, whatever. Well grow a skin. In the words of Elmer Davis, "The republic was not established by cowards, and cowards will not preserve it.". The creeping socialism, declining morality and loss of faith and national memory has infected and weakened our great nation for far, far too long. It is time to reclaim what is ours. Most Americans have forgotten who we are. It is time to remember, and act positively to restore our Republic to it's proper Constitutional glory. There is much work to be done. I'm in.

And with that, this thread gets a well-deserved

Your points are well taken and your bump is top notch. Free Republic's membership has a good start in shaping the future of the USA as long as we stay focused.

And, if at all possible, folks should try to attend the conference in Las Vegas on 8-17,8-18, & 8-19-02. The meeting day is Saturday. Visit the FREVA Las Vegas thread. I'm going and there are many options available. For instance, I won't be signing up for the fundraising lecture due to my poor math skills upon having two mvas. Public speaking and how to handle the media lectures; that's what I'm interested in.

Wonder what got pulled. hmm...

Know anyone running against Daschle? Will people there be going from bad to worse? If it is who I think it is, that makes me qualified to run for God by comparison.
