All of this misdirection of counter terrorist investigations had to be going on for more than the 9 months of the Bush Administration. How come no one blew the whistle before - and why didn't they start coming out of the woodwork right after 911? Why wait until now? This gets curiouser and curiouser!

Perhaps they were worried about their careers? After all, why rock the boat if nothing happens.
I think 9/11 may have shaken a few up and made them realize just how important little things can be when put in context and they may have felt guilt for not yelling about something a little louder.
It really seems as if there was negligence, intentional or not, and somebody needs to be held responsible. This isn't some investigation of some small-time hood or some fraud investigation, this deals wit the death of thousands.

My thoughts exactly. Why now? Why not September 12, 2001? All day I have been thinking of all of the negligence during the Clinton Administration from downright in your face flaunting of the rule of law, to selling our national jewels to the ChiComs, to missing State Department computers, to special business agreements to Loral and Bernie Schwartz, the Los Alamos debacle, WH Lee, and consciously weak response to 1993 WTC bombing, USS Cole, Kohbar Towers, etc.
Why no blazing spotlight focused on Berger, Freeh, Reno, Clinton?

Why wait until now? This gets curiouser and curiouser!Because like good little soldiers, they kept their mouths' shut until the upper level brass in D.C. started to suggest that the FBI's inability to read the tea leaves was the fault of the agents in the field. If the incompetents in D.C had taken the "buck stops here" approach, then Wright and Rawley may have very well kept their mouths shut.

It sure does. If someone else during the clinton era knew more than the rest of us, then they should be in trouble. I think this has been going on for years under clinton when his attention was elsewhere. MamaB
