You are right. This is not necessarily good news for Bush. A liberal in moderate clothing like Ambulance Chaser Edwards is much harder to beat than an honest liberal like Chris Dodd. Every Republican leaning independent should vote for Al Sharpton. If he can get even 12-15% of the vote and be encouraged to stay in the race as long as possible, the eventual DemocRAT nominee would have the unenviable choice of giving him second spot on the ticket or risk offending their base by not giving him second spot on the ticket. Either way is A.O.K. for Dubya.
