Though the Boy Scouts has been hit badly by the atheists and homosexuals and their supporters, the Boy Scouts is growing rapidly in our area, and, I understand, in many other areas as well. It is the last major mainstream kids' organization that teaches traditional Judeo-Christian principles to young men. When the homosexuals started attacking scouts two years ago, we lost about 3 out of 150 kids in our pack and troop. Now, our pack and troop number well over 200. In constast, many, many parents (and this is in suburban New Jersey) are refusing to let their daughters join Girl Scouts. They object, rightly, to its pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, un-God-founded message (whatever that is, outside of empowerment). Several of us are already looking at American Heritage Girls, a new organization for girls that duplicates many of the values underscored in Boy Scouts.
