RBA - pass along a story please - I have a dear friend who has asbestosis, lung cancer, had polio, and has parkinsons. When diagnosed with the cancer, Roy was given six months to live. Without one day of chemo or radiation Roys cancer has remained in remission and actually shrunk. He attributes this entirely to the power of prayer. - By all means your friend should use what medical options are available, and I am not suggesting she refrain from prescribed treatments. Rather, I state he was terminal and was saved by the hand of God almighty. That was four years ago. I have returned his fishing equipment and expect the Parkinsons will claim him before the cancer does. Amen Jesus.

Having suffered three spontaneous pneumothoraxes (collapse of lung) in high school,
before being fixed by surgery...I feel some of this lady's pain.

Make sure your friend gets as aggressive a treatment as she desires; don't let
the M.D.'s short her on medication to make any pain manageable.

My prayers go out for her. There is a new adjunct being added to cancer treatments that is having great effects in the clinical trials.

Cancer docs or radiation therapy docs are adding one of the new anti arthritic drugs like Celebrex to the therapy. For some reason the simple addition of Celebrex to the normal therapies of choice is make them much more effective in killing cancer cells.

It might worth adding Celebrex to the current therapy. It will not hurt her and may really help her.
