What an absurd headline! What "lie"? It gets worse. Mary's article is too wacked-out for words.

Yeah, and "as a woman" and as a reporter with the tools to do factual research, the author should be informed that most law enforcement profilers state that, in 90% of ALL murders similar to Chandra's, the perp was someone the victim had an INTIMATE relationship with.............I think that kinda narrows it down a bit, don't you?

How many 54-year-old busy, successful men who have been married to the same woman for thirty-six years and have grown children are talking about having babies with some chick younger than their children when they are over sixty and retired? None, in my acquaintance.

I don't have any figures, but my feeling is quite a number of such men "talk" about it ("Promise her anything . . ."); the number of those who do it is, of course, much lower.

Condit/Chandra is just another 'reality' show the news divisions desperately put up so that they can show earnings potential. We had 'Diana', JFK Jr., The Ramseys, Ojay, 'Elian' and on and on. Some of the old ones tend to come back for a while while the newsies search for new 'material'.

Too bad so many people don't find something better to do with their lives. I am sorry if I offended anyone but... shouldn't you rather take care of your own lives? Are they in such a great shape you have time to worry about one of the 15,000 or more people who are murdered in this country every year?

Of course, Mary makes no mention of the TYPE of women that the perpetrator was after. Every account I've read said these women were fair(light hair and eyes) and tall, filled out sort of build. Aren't these type of people not only looking for oppurtunity, but a particular type of woman? Chandra just doesn't seem to fit with what he typically attacks. Now that's all said even BEFORE we talk about Condit and his affair. The stuff I see in this article is really disgusting to this young woman's memory. Certainly she wasn't a stand up sort of gal, but she was young and still making the kind of mistakes we come to regret when we are older. It's a shame she never got that chance to regret these things because she got involved with the wrong man and probably made the mistake of telling him something that could incriminate him(like a pregnancy) and made the mistake of meeting him before she had a chance to tell anyone else. Poor thing, she probablythought at worst that the old man was going to implore her to have an abortion. Just a little speculating on my part.

God rest your soul Chandra(and any other soul that may have been taken with you).

I guess the writer sort of "forgot" or never did research enough to know that Chandra was killed before the other two girls were attacked, not after.

I too, wonder why the police didn't search more thoroughly, but I don't think Guandique (or whatever his name is) killed Chandra.

It's my opinion that Chandra's father WILL see justice done for his daughter. He will use all his resources to do it.

After all, there's only a nuclear war brewing between India and Pakistan, the continuing war with Al-Qaeda terrorists, the flurry terrorists threats we've been getting here on the home front, our borders wide open to any illegal alien or terrorist who wants to come in and steal our tax money and subvert our soceity, ad nauseum. But the real important story is Chandra Levy and Gary Condit. These losers need to get a life.

These type of posts taking people to task for even reading these threads(which I'll point out you both wasted your valuable time on as well--pottle kettle black)are what is really pathetic. Here is a suggestion...DONT read the Chandra threads--it will leave you with more valuable time to tend to your own affairs and you can pat yourself on the back for being busy with more important things.

It is to his credit, and to the credit of his very supportive wife and children that the Condit family has resisted public pressure to turn on Gary Condit.
