"...When Mrs. Levy called him the first time asking if he knew where Chandra was, his response was to offer a $10,000 reward. This was even before she was reported missing."

"is this certain?"

YES, it is certain and it has been reported on....and when I first read this I was struck by it too....why would Condit assume that a $10,000 reward was appropriate, when...if he has no clue, as he claims.....it probably would have been more likely for him to assume she had gotten together with some friends, or gone to say goodbye to her Aunt Linda for a few days!!!!

To offer up a $10,000 reward IMMEDIATELY upon hearing from Mrs. Levy seems like a "Freudian slip" to me.

He also knew he'd never have to pay it since it offered the money only upon her "safe return".

"YES, it is certain..."

It certainly is not certain. See post 107. By the time Condit put up the 10K (of constituents' money), the Levys had already posted a 25K reward for their missing daughter. Feinstein also put in 5K.

Condit's behavior is already suspicious enough without adding imaginative details.
