Still waiting to find out about the cryptic reference.
To: Samwise
I searched the Net for a copy of the ad to no avail. I wanted to post it. And of course, Mom threw out my mags whenever she got the chance. (I'd be rich today if she hadn't!) I figured those old enough would get the reference and the rest wouldn't understand it. Glad you got the joke! Sometimes I feel like an antique.

Please see post 102. I have no idea how I posted to myself. Fat fingers, can't type. If I ever do find the Volkswagen ad I will post it back to this thread.

In a previous post you said If people don't sound exactly like me, they don't speak english well, it's as simple as that.
The reference to "misunderestimated" is a term used by Bush in reference to the debates.
Do you say misunderestimated? Are you saying that the President doesn't speak English well?

Dude, you are seriously out to lunch. I guess you don't speak english very well because you are not understandable.
I'll give a shiny new dime to anyone who knows what the hell you are rambling about.

The Kennedy machine at work. Anything to take the heat off the Skakel trial. < tin foil> Yep, the Kennedys (along with Pope) have been holding the remains of PT 109 for nearly 60 years, just so they could "find" it and over shadow some bad press. </tin foil>

Imagine what that poor women has to endure when big Ted gets frisky? I just made myself sick.
And the rest of us. Thanks a bunch!

I never denigrated any of the reserve services. I do however, have a problem when people hide in the guard so as to keep their butts outta danger. No matter what their political preference.
Could you give a quick way so that I can know exactly why people join the National Guard or Reserve? You obviously have some super ability to know why anyone would join. Is everyone in the Guard/Reserve during wartime under your cloud of "hiding"? A quick
search shows 5,977 Reservists and, 101 National Guard died in Vietnam. Guess they didn't hide so well? How about the 5 million Americans in the Armed Forces during the Vietnam era that were not sent to South East Asia. Guess they were hiding out as well. Fake illnesses and fleeing to Canada are actions that should be held in contempt, not service to our country.

I will try and explain this in terms that you will understand.....
If you judge one group of people for how they speak, you should judge all people the same way. (I was going to use the term 'criteria" but did not want to confuse you).

Ballard is very cool, if it's in the water he can find it...he is supposed to go back for a return trip to the Black Sea in june to look for evidence of pre flood biblical civilizations. Last time out he found some man made structures there about 500 feet down and planned to return in june of this year.

During WWII most of the US army veterans of the Bataan Death March were Reserve/National Guard members.

Which one of these things is not like the others?
No. 10 jumps right out at you... and not because of the italics, either.

Now you are the one that has gone off the deep end..I never claimed to have a degree (even though I do have a BA).
Again you make assumptions. At least I judge people by whom they are, how they think....not how they speak.
