Oh man! That recipe will make enough for around 6-8 people! I'll have enough for the rest of the month. I can't figure out what is making it so spicy- the green chiles of the cilantro/garlic. Garlic and onions are my fav so I added a bit extra. If they like Mexican food, they will LOVE this soup!

The soup sounds delicious and is similar to a few tortilla soup recipes I have. The black beans are an interesting addition that aren't normally found in tortilla soup in Texas. I'm going to give this one a try.

The girls (and I) will love this. I have cilantro growing in my garden so I'll throw some extra of that in as well. When I first started using cilantro you sort of have to adquire a taste for it, but I really love it now. If I make salsa without cilantro, it just doesn't have the same zing.
