DC Chapter ping, with sad news to report. Our good FRiend and fellow Freeper "CommiesOut" died Saturday. All members who are able are invited to pay their respects. Peter's son (CommiesOut Jr) posted this information:

BERNAT, ZBIGNIEW P. “PETE” "CommiesOut" AGE 53 Passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2002 at his home in Sterling, VA. He was born and raised in Poland where he was an active member of the Solidarity Movement which ushered the end of Communism in Eastern Europe. He graduated from Warsaw Polytechnic University in Warsaw, Poland. In 1982 he was exiled to the United States and settled in El Paso, TX. In 1989 he moved to the Washington D.C. area where he was very active in politics and the fight for freedom. He was a beloved husband of 33 years to Zenona Bernat and loving father to Adam, Ania, and Peter.

Friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Thursday May 30, 2002 at the Adams - Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon VA. The viewing will begin at 6 pm followed by a short service at approximately 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the CommiesOut Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 424, Sterling VA 20167-0424

I can not say how sad I am. He can to my home for a cookout and he was one of the greatest Freepers that ever lived. God Bless Him!

Sad news... Great FReeper, veteran of Solidarity will post no more. Poland's stand for freedom always inspired us the Russians - and so did his posts of FR. I'll miss this man of Honor.
