American Liberals will never, never, EVER change their anti-gun hysteria -- until they become victims of violent crime. Remember, the fundamental purpose of Liberalism is to be able to make yourself feel good about yourself. Results are besides the point and to be ignored -- until they happen to you.

Liberals come in all different colors and flavors. I've known a lot of 'back to the land' type hippies who happen to be gun nuts. They're into solar power, composting toilets and organic food, but some of them also have quite an arsenal.

Those folks share one important trait with conservatives though. For the most part they just want to be left alone. Your average urban socialist is deathly afraid of guns in private hands.

IMHO, the liberals are concerned about losing constituents -- literally. Many members of their favorite "victim" groups run a very real risk if the rest of us are allowed to defend ourselves when they break into our homes and cars or assault us on the street.
