As I recall, they had 23,000 special agents all working to convict Richard Jewell of the Olympic bombing in Atlanta. They might have done it, too, if they had another 16,000 agents and 12 years, even though he wasn't the least bit guilty. They all got promoted. All got a year end bonus and all got a little placque. Think back. Name one project in the last 15 years where you can say, "Damn, I proud we've got the FBI out there." Don't think you can. The closest you can come involves a situation where an FBI agent just stumbled on something or someone else did most of the work and the FBI stole the credit. Go ahead, name one.
