When you read or hear
about all the Memorial Day Sales
everywhere for every possible product,
think of it as Dead Soldier Day Sale.
To: 4TheFlag

End of rant LOL. There's a difference between a "rant" and a beautifully worded and wise "tribute". Your's is the latter. Regards!
To: SAMWolf
Isn't this wonderful this essay by Kathlena Peebles about Memorial Day.
Sam all these things you find are so special. I read each one and they stay written on my heart. Thank you !!!!!

Colleen, that has to be very hard to go to see your fathers grave and so very touching too, to see the Flags placed at every stone. You are a special person and I am so glad we met.
To: Snow Bunny
I like it, too. There are so many nice things out there, LOL. I just need more space to store them, LOL

In post 34, I posted a picture of a new war memorial located in the farming community of Caruthers. I mentioned it bearing the name of two Medal of Honor recipients.
I have found the links to these two heros who were killed in action, one in WWII and the other in the Korean War. To read their stories, please follow the links. These men should never be forgotten .....
Joe M. Nishimoto is honored nearly 58 years after he died awar hero.
Jack William Kelso
Please remember the cost of freedom on this week-end.
