Anyone hearing anything about who the apartment was rented to? Any names?
To: kcvl
I would bet it was natural gas explosion, the only problem here is the amount of fire after the explosion. And there was a lot. From the NG explosions I have seen, its usually such and intense explosion that it blows out any flame or fire. A lot of fire was associated with this incident.

I wasn't directing my comments at anyone in particular, it was just my general comment on people who are quick to assume terrorism.
I don't know what happened apart from what I've read in the message list, so I don't assume anything as to the cause. I just know that "something blew up".

If Islamic terrorists are in fact targeting apartments, it's no surprise that they'd pick a Jewish neighborhood -- which Encino largely is.

Why would you bomb an apartment complex at 1130 AM on a weekday if you wanted to inflict a large number of casualties? Many people have a long holiday weekend which started today.

Sounds like another "Work Accident"
Perhaps a meth lab gone KABOOM? Happens in Arizona all too often. We rarely call them terrorist attacks. Are we in error, or merely rational?
No Reflection on you 'fella'.
Just wanted to post the sarcasm before it is too late.

Fox is confirming the secondary explosions via the LAFD!!!
To: The Magical Mischief Tour
FNC is reporting that there are still secondary explosions going off. Weird. That place is trashed.
To: Dog
I didn't hear that. Thanks.
To: Joe Hadenuf
Per CNN bomb squad is probing the condo.

This Fox guy, Rod, seems to know his stuff. I'm impressed with the kind of information he is adding to the discussion. It always impresses me when one of these talking heads actually does more than talk to hear his head rattle.

I guess I still believe in coincidence. So do I and I predict that the next coincidence will be that a Train will blow up. Not because the FBI warned of it, just because this sort of thing happens all the time. Move along...nothing to see here folks.

Goldens are such great pets!Yes they are, but the "explosions" can be brutal. :-)

Local Atlanta news at 3 p.m. - (Paraphrased) Explosion at an apartment complex in Encino, California. Last week the FBI issued warnings that terroists mught try to blow up appartment complexes. So far, no evidence that this is a terrorist attack.
To: Joe Hadenuf
That would be my bet, natural gas explosion. Hopefully it was an innocent leak.He who smelt it, dealt it.
