I can't believe you came through the way you did! I haven't even hit the links yet, but I just wanted to say that when you described the cases in detail, I recalled most of them. The igniting case, if memory serves, involved two guys in a car who were stopped for DWI in a black neighborhood. The driver was arrested, and the car towed. The friend who had been riding along, begged the black arresting officers for a ride out of the neighborhood, but they refused. Neighborhood role models then cornered him and set him on fire.
The dragging death victim was Ken "Bimbo" Tillery. Toogood Reports columnist Paul Scates is the only writer I know of -- certainly the first -- to write about it, in his Toogood Reports column.
