Eventually, we will go back to the Jim Crow version of the law where "If it didn't affect white people, it didn't happen". Sad.

The sad part is that it seems African-Americans in our town (Seattle) seem to want it that way. Anytime a white officer takes action involving someone from 'their community' they rally, involve the liberal media, whine, block freeways, etc. I give it a few years and the PD will have 'black units' to patrol the central district, etc. Oh sure, they'll have a few token whites in that unit, but they'll all be desk jockeys.

Coppers aren't stupid. Why stick your neck out and risk a federal civil rights law-suit, or imprisonment for doing what you were hired to do. You can't get into trouble for doing nothing! You ought to get a look at Oakland or San Francisco. The hysterical Left has gone overboard with so-called police reforms, that have virtually ham-strung the Police. It has less to do with race, than it appears to be an attempt to organise all police departments to conform to some national standard (which ain't good)!

In the cities, it will be, 'if it didn't happen to black people, it didn't happen'; In the suburbs, the roles will be reversed.

I think it is to the point where it "didn't happen" unless it affected IMPORTANT people. People with connections, and it matters not at all what race or religion they may be.
