Is it just my imagination or are A LOT of female teachers having affairs with boys in their classes?
Shouldn't this make her a pedophile in the media's use of the word, or does that only apply to clerics?

What does the boy's family think of this judgement?

I guess it only applies to males, not females.

Man, he could honestly have his cake and eat it too
I say he's already enjoyed the sexual and ego pleasures of this situation (Assuming he was down with the whole scenario). Why not sue the school district and get some money out of this deal too.
BTW bah

Just a request here, but please include City, State in any news posting. Otherwise, we have to guess, or Google around to find out.

Since when have Judges (lawyers) become Doctors of Psychology? The last I checked, having sex with a minor (that is someone under the age of 18, according to the law, Your Honor) was still a crime. I thought that Judges were suppose to judge according to the law not on someones physical health. What do the boys parents have to say? Would there be a different situation if the teacher were a male and the 13 year old were a female? What would the Judge say then? (Professing themselves to be wise they became as fools).

" Gaeta said the boy did not appear to suffer any psychological damage. "Maybe it was a way for him, once this happened, to satisfy his sexual needs. People mature at different ages," he said. "
Hmmmmm makes me wonder what this judge does for "gratification"......and if we persue his logic Pee wee Herman should never have been prosecuted for lude behavior...heck he was just sexually acting out in public

The greater psychological (and judicial) damage done is that Bruce Gaeta is a judge.

We're seeing a lot of joking going on about this where people are saying "So what's the boy got to complain about?" The problem is that taking this lightly is just falling into the trap the pedophiles are setting for us. We cannot take this problem "lightly" anymore. If we see people being tapped on the wrist for a pedophile act with a 13 years old boy, where will the next line be drawn? Can we afford to take such situations lightly when we know these people are trying to make pedophilia a socially acceptable practice? Where will we head then? Will the next "Monica" be 12 years old? We need to wake up before this American dream becomes and irreversable nightmare.

Like I said before:
If the victim is a girl, arrest the teacher.
If the teacher's a man, arrest him.
If the teacher's ugly, arrest her.
But otherwise, leave the lucky guys alone.

Of course it does. Sheesh. Most guys would give their left arm to make it with an attractive teacher (provided she was decent looking). Also: boys can't perform unless aroused *and* can't get pregnant.
I consider this sort of thing to be...unusual, but not necessarily evil.

Gosh. I'm glad you're out there, protecting boys from teachers everywhere. If I were a teen, I'd sure feel safe knowing you were around...

She can't be considered a pedophile ... she's a member of the DemocRATic base - teachers. As such, the judge demonstrated its far better to release her upon society to keep her self esteem intact, as well as permit her to continue to prey upon children. None of which will be noted in the news media or at least not with the words predator, child abuser or pedophilia.
