This is the only story I've read on Ted Maher that has any facts in it.
Wonder why.

Facts confuse people.

Whats the matter? Don't like wild accusations based on conspiracy theories and the thinnest of evidence?
I liked the post of evidence by Yatch -- very unconvincing. There one piece of evidence in that list is that "the lady" sent security forces away. But who was the source, and how would he know?
The other "facts" are mainly intended to demonstrate how eeeevil the Monaco authorities are. They demonstrate little more, however, than that this country's idea of due process isnt quite as strict as ours, and that the police are pretty decent interrogators.
Moral of the story? Don't break the law in another country-- their criminal justice sytems are a lot harsher then ours. Don't start fires, dont kill people.

Facts are nice to include on FR threads. =^) It looks like the two major concerns here are the 2+ year wait for a trial, and Mr. Maher's confession. He may be an greedy idiot or mentally unstable (stabbing himself would be a pretty clear indicator). He may be the victim of a frame-up (as the FREE HIM threads hint). This is what trials decide.
The big questions:
Why hasn't there been a trial yet?
Should America allow its citizens, guilty or not, to spend 29 months in a foreign jail (or US jail for that matter) without a trial?
When was that confession first made?
Was an autopsy performed in the victims?

The media also said klintoon was not guilty.
Still afraid to ask Mrs. Maher what really happend?
The "facts" in this article were distorted, starting with the altered title of the original article,
