He bothers to put the body in a shallow grave then goes on to unsuccessfully attack two more women in the same place to draw attention to it. Right?

Logical no. But you have to realize this individual was probably operating without an excess of that. Predators like their hunting grounds, and the fact that the police never found the body probably emboldened him.

It's quite possible this guy in jail is not the culprit. But he's a far more likely suspect than Condit.

I don't know whether Condit killed her, or whether she was killed because she was a threat to someone else in Condit's circle. But she wasn't a random crime victim--that I am sure of.
