I think the left would love to drag Lucas's head around a stadium like the hapless C3PO, for daring to state the obvious - that free republics become rights-depriving empires with the people's consent, due to their desire for "security". The need for more security of course, being a direct result of the empire's centralization and overreach.

The Libs don't want the unwashed masses to figure out that the push for World Government might entail a ramp to a slaughterhouse for the "unnecessary people".

I thought it was the best installment of the Star Wars franchise.

It is not wise to pretend there is no need for security, either, merely because some use the term falsely.

When a nation is attacked within its own borders there is a need for security that is not bogus.

It is also not wise to pretend that a great, powerful nation can withdraw from the world without serious and deadly consequences.
