Thanks for another great post! Autumn seems like an exceptionally mature young woman - and a very talented writer.

Governor Bush wasn't joking when he said he had to overcome his fear of public speaking! Have any of the rest of you seen the video of him campaigning for his dad in Puerto Rico during the 1980 campaign? His legs were actually shaking as he addressed a very large crowd in Spanish. I was so impressed by the love for his father that must have enabled him to take on such a difficult task at such a young age!

Thanks so much for your terrific post #17! No, I did not see him campaign back in 1980. But, it seems he has come a long way since then! (And, BTW, that is something I could never understand about Al Gore -- how could Gore be in the public eye for what, 25 years -- and still not be able to give a decent speech for most of Campaign 2000????) Thanks again for your post, coloradomom. You always add so much to a thread! :)
