Maybe he's confusing this president with his boy Slick Willy. What a disgusting man, may the terrorists get him.

Rather is on his way out. He gets less popular every day. Whe was the last time Rather flew commercial?

I wonder if CBS realizes the damage that Dan Blather is doing to their Credibilty on their news shows or maybe they just don't care. Anyhow they suck!

Guess W can't please Dan-boy no matter what he does.
To: truthseeker101
Sure Dan, this whole war on terror is bogus, and you have no fantasies.

Bush doesnt issue a warning prior to 9/11 and he is attacked without mercy. Now the Bush Admin is issuing warnings based on virtually the same general, non specific, vague, virtually useless information and its all "politics" and trying to change the subject.
There is no winning with the left. Dont do something and they criticize your for not acting. Act on the same stuff and they criticize you for acting.
F them.

Looks like old Dan thinks Bush acts just like Clinton. Of course, Clinton would pull a stunt like that. However, Bush does not waste time on pettiness. Funny that Rather has not learned that in watching Bush daily. Shows exactly how Rather expects his president to act.
Think old Dan is trying to put new legs on the slander against President Bush and help his democrat friends pull down those ratings.
Dan doesn't have to report about the new threats - he can continue accusing Bush all he wants. Yet - I thought he was a newsreporter. Guess he wants the world and the terrorists to stop so he can tear down Bush a little longer.

Dan Rather is a F#CKING IDIOT!
He's trashing the President for not warning us about potential threats before 9-11 in the same sentances as he is trashing the President for warning us of potential threats after 9-11.
The only conclusion I can come to is that most people (the people who watch TV) are total F#CKING IDIOTS, and that this world is doomed.

"We're on some kind of alert because somebody heard something that somebody may blow something up. (But) as a citizen, what are we supposed to do with that information?" What a contradictory SOB. First he complains that Bush did not adequately warn us before......now that Bush is warning us he says...."what are we supposed to do with that information?"
What an A**HOLE!!!!!

Does anyone recall what Dan had to say about Clinton lobbing a few cruise missiles at Khost the day of Monica's testimony? Did Dan consider this 'fishy' and a bit too 'coincidental'?
I'd be interested if any fellow Freepers had any quotes Dan has made concerning that subject, or whether he, as a loyal kneepadder, defended Clinton on the exact same behavior he is now accusing W. of?

Rather obviously doesn't feel any need to be consistent even within a single diatribe. First he cites the vague warnings of possible aircraft hijackings somewhere, sometime, as a reason the Administration should have taken immediate and dramatic actions:
Appearing on the "Imus in the Morning" radio show, Rather said he "believed" his network's report a week ago that the White House received a pre-9-11 CIA briefing on possible al Qaeda hijackings prompted the administration to issue the alert for political damage control.
Then he complains about the warnings of recent days, which apparently come from al-Qaeda captives that have been extensively interrogated:
"We're on some kind of alert because somebody heard something that somebody may blow something up. (But) as a citizen, what are we supposed to do with that information?"
It's quite obvious from his own words that Dan Rather is determined never to be satisfied with the Bush Administration or anything it does. If there's a shred of honor anywhere in this man, the finest scientific instruments have failed to find it.
Freedom, Wealth, and Peace,
Francis W. Porretto

>>"And I can also believe that, as with every president, somebody's in the White House scratching their heads saying, 'How can we change the subject.' <<
That's reeeal objective journalism there, Dan.
You despicable jackass.

Forget CBS. But if I were an advertiser, I wouldn't touch that program with a ten foot pole....

Well, with all that cattle, at least one of the cow-flops will sprout legs and walk to Manhattan! (Is Molly Ivans the 3rd worst Texan/walking cow flop?)
To: ClancyJ
The CBS newsman also accused Attorney General John Ashcroft of taking advantage of insider information about terrorist warnings to fly on private jets, while the public was kept in the dark about the secret alertAn out and out LIE, and Rather knows it. The MSNBC Pentagon guy called Imus back with the CORRECT information, that Ashcroft received PERSONAL threats.....probably from damn liberals.
And let's all pretend Rather wouldn't be pontificating about Bush NOT issuing alerts if something did/does happen.
