The U.S. State Department on Tuesday said that Israel had made Yasser Arafat's Palestinian Authority less effective by destroying its security infrastructure, and it absolved Arafat and his senior associates of responsibility for attacks on Israelis in 2001.Of course the pro-arab clintonistas in the State Department would absolve the Father of Modern Terrorism!
The PA was involved in more terrorism than they were supposed to prevent.
In its report the State Department said members of Arafat's Fatah movement had taken part, however, in attacks on Israel through the Tanzim organization and the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade.
Yeesh, these people are dangerous and need to be canned yesterday.

Looks like Foggy Bottom is still living in a magical happy land with faeries and gnomes and where there is no such thing as "evil" or "Islamic terrorism."

Looks like Foggy Bottom is still living in a magical happy land with faeries and gnomes...Well one gnome (Albright) is gone. Since attacks in Israel have gone down since the jazz in Jenin, the State Dept. looks so dopey as usual. :)) Par for the course. I don't think Sharon spends much time worrying about the US SD thinks.

What nonsense. This "report" speaks of Arafat as if he were a head of state. He's the chief squatter for an army of squatters. He's a murderer of Americans who should have been arrested a long time ago - by Americans - so he could then have become a celebrity criminal in this country. But one guesses that Israel will eventually have to do that for us. Somehow, I don't think he'd be a celebrity in their prison system, or better with a bullet in his brain.

What about the Tanzim terror attacks in 2002?
Ah, yes, and Al Qaeda doesn't have "extensive" links to Chechen extremists, according to our State Department. They feed out garbage that will be forever reiterated in appeaser circles. Little problems come out now and then like Osama's plan to build part of his Caliphate in Chechnya - but he had no connections there, no sirree.
I trust that State Dept. release have less disinfo than releases from spy agencies.

The US State Dept continues to defend terrorists,
and attack researchers seeking alternative energy sources.
Why, President Bush?
To: RCW2001
Flash! The State Department reports that sanctions against Cuba caused America's economic downturn.
State should be on the list of organizations that sponsor international terror...

Really? How many attacks were there when IDF was in west bank in april?

Alternative resources - you mean Central Asia and elsewhere? Very interested in your thoughts/links on this subject - State Department interference in this regard.
If this occurs, they could be pandering for their post-govt. lobby jobs. The "backend deal" with arabs and opec - promises that "hey, you work for us when you get out of this govt. gig" now met with stony silence unless they work to undermine the competitors to their "countries of expertise." Bush is a threat to OPEC.

You are so right - when is the new admin going to clear out the dead wood from the last admin?? I don't understand. The only sense I can make of it is that this left behind group supports Powell's agenda - but not the Bush agenda.

Weakening of Nazies increased deportation of Jews to camps.
Arafat has jurisdiction. Enough said.
By the way, with reports like these, who needs to go to college?
