I recall a couple of studies about that, and some rumors about Haitian immigrants who were also bullied into voting for Gore...

The problem is how it will be spun. I've got a bad feeling about this...

A few days after this (media) debacle, I remember seeing an interview with a black candidate in Florida, and his constituents had been threatened to not vote for him because he was running as a Republican. Is that going to be investigated? It's over. G. W. won. Let's not waste any more time and money on this stupidity. What about the west Florida people who didn't vote because the networks already said Gore had Florida? Gore didn't even carry his home state. Give it up.

I don't feel that way. They are attempting to put this to bed. There will be a couple of months of press leaks and then assurances and legal mumbo jumbo to indicate that it will never happen again.

It also puts some of the other states on notice that the fed will be watching closely in 2004. I an thinking of Illinois, New Mexico, California and others not mentioned. These voter fraud cases cut both ways. We know what happened but they believe otherwise. I hope this clears the air somewhat with the fed as the final arbitor. So far this has been tried in the press and is totally screwed up.
