It's true what you say; and a lot of young teen/adults turn to drugs to escape their dismal reality (problems in the home, school, etc.) but in the end, drug/alcohol abuse is not the real answer. I don't know what is, but I know drugs aren't.

The answer however tough it may sound is for young people to pay attention to folks who tell them to plan for their future and that what they do at 16 or so will indeed impact their adult lives. I didn't listen and it cost me. I was lucky and I guess I've caught up now at 44...LOL. That's a lot of catch up time isn't it? This poor girl lost that chance. That's the problem with drug abuse. The downside is either long and chronic or swift and certain.
