Hornady came out with a .17 cal rimfire. I've never seen one except in pictures, but I'm imagining a Daisy pellet gun would do nearly as much damage.

No, you're wrong. .17 gr (about, the cal, a coincidence)@ about 2550 fps generates some energy, in the 250 fps neighborhood.

Ah ok. I saw an "actual size" pic on the cover of American Rifleman, man that thing was tiny. I'm curios as to how they act, ever shoot one?

It also makes a mess of gophers and woodchucks. Along with the .218 bee, they are both fantastic for varmit poppin'. Low grain weight boattail hollow points will basically explode when they hit a blade of grass so there is less worry with bullet skip.
