In the 1992 case of Planned Parenthood v. Casey, Four justices, Rehnquist, White, Scalia, and Thomas, voted to overturn Roe saying it was wrongly decided.
In his opinion, Justice Blackmun warned, "I fear for the darkness as four justices await the single vote necessary to extinguish the light… I cannot stay on this Court forever."
