No. The "two consenting adults" came in when he made a distinction between homosexual sex between "two consenting adults" and homosexual sex with minors. There is a difference, although even McBrien said that both were wrong.

Well,McBrien may not have been slimy tonight but was instead slippery. Acccording to the New Catholic Catechism homosexuality is an inclination that is "disordered" and homosexual behavior is "depraved".So perhaps,by saying homosexual attractions weren't sinful he was technically correct but he deliberately minimized the unhealthy(disordered)aspect of the condition.
