As to why it's insane, read further down the thread. An attack by India might achieve its military goal, but it wouldn't stop terrorism.

With all respect to you and the "American public", Dog Gone, do not delude yourself. The American public does not have a clue. Check out the polls, most members of the "American public" actually believe there is an operational ABM system in place protecting the US.

No, my friend, the American public does not know the extent of the culpability of the paki government and security organs in aiding and supporting the taliban and obl. We know, most FR posters know, but the man (and women) on the street doesn't know.
