You and I DO understand economics and know you can't judge harm by statistical "evidence," particularly "evidence" gathered by rabid zealots with an axe to grind. However, you CAN judge harm by what HAS happened in a situation like the one proposed in DE (like the bingo halls or bowling alleys). To individuals, not to a statistical construct. You might have to spend some time on the phone or in the car to get the real story, but it would probably be worth it.
