Well, technically this is true, but these American Indian soldiers were speaking their own language, not typing code.

I always thought it was both, i.e. they were speaking in Navajo but the messages were also coded to provide extra security. Am I wrong?

My son took some friends and saw it again yesterday, his treat. Luckily some cereal company has been giving out free admission coupons in their cereal boxes for the last couple of months. He saved every coupon. Only cost me $200. in cereal.

At Star Wars Celebration II in Indianapolis a few weekends ago, Morrison sang a Maori song up on stage. It was very beautiful. He and Daniel Logan are a very neat couple of guys :-)

Oh man, where do I start?

First of all...The Detroit News. 'Nuff said. Secondly...look at the names of those composing the "panel". I see lots of Hispanic and Arabic names, so is there any wonder these "chip on the shoulder" types find racial stereotyping? They could probably find racism in a Chilton's auto repair manual, for cryin' out loud.

"It reminds Cuello a little bit of 'those Reagan ads in the 1980 campaign, that suggested if Nicaragua went communist, you'd have wild-eyed Mexicans with guns running across the California border.'

Well, when taken in context with the increasing cross-border incursions by the Mexican military, and the deluge of drugs, weapons, illegal aliens and (probably) terrorists pouring across our borders, it looks like the Gipper was right even without the fall of Comandante Ortega.

Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!

I still wish that Jar Jar would have been the victim of a political assasination.

It wouldn't be fair if Jar Jar lives and the rest of the Jedi die in the next film. I loved it, too. Lots of subtext -- the best of the Lucas-directed films.

This griping goes all the way back to Star Wars, when after it became a mega hit, black activists complained that although there were aliens all over the film, there were no blacks. George Lucas conceded the point, and gave Lano Calrissian to Billy Dee Williams. Now that he is careful to include non whites, he gets attacked for including people, instead of leaving them out. Which just proves there is no pleasing the professionally offended.

"The Republic is not what it once was. The Senate is full of greedy, squabbling delegates. There is no interest in the common good." At one point he laments that "the bureaucrats are in charge now."

Did Lucas get his dialogue from FReepers? I think I read this on an old thread, no scratch that, I think I have read that on many old and new threads!

Actually they are all blinded. Dooku hints that Qui-gon jin was on to it, maybe thats why he was always aloof of the council.
Of course the dark side, as evil is in the real world, has many deceitful layers. : )

This article could best be summed up as "What should we be upset about today"?

Good God, what people try to project!

I hated Jar-Jar myself. The Sith Lord should have used him as target practice.
