Don't generalize. I've been college educated and have a graduate as well as a baccaulaureate degree and I'm far from being a Marxist. Anyways, to get back to the issue at hand Napoleon Beazley was a man when he did the crime. If you can't tell right from wrong at 17 as opposed to 18 then there's precious little difference in your life when you finally do become old enough to vote and join the military. I wonder if Desmond Tutu would have joined the called to halt Beazley's execution if he had done the deed had he been one year older? Of course not. Its not the age of the offender the anti death penalty opponents worry about, its that anyone should be executed in the first place for something as reprehensible as murder. And in view of Tutu's country having the dubious reputation of having the highest rates of rape and murder in the civilized world, he should be the last person to lecture us on how best to deal with our denizens on Death Row.

I didn't generalize in my comment about the more advanced education resulting in more complete indoctrination. I stated my own observation based on my own experience. Since I don't know you, I wasn't talking about you, was I?

True, 17 is not the age of a child. Desmond Tutu would be better off commenting on his own rotten, communist country where carjackings and murders are commonplace occurrences. Tutu can go to hell as far as I'm concerned. We have our own domestic communists to deal with and don't need any African communists to tell us what to do.
