He beats me by eight days. Of course, most of us here that long were actually here longer because of the reinitialization. Anyway, he probably chose that AAABEST just to, as you say, have first listing. ;)

When I first logged on, that was the name of my company and the first part of my e-mail address. You're right, it actually was chosen to get a high listing in the phone book. Except not the FR phone book but my local yellow pages!
Heh, I guess none of us knew back then what this forum would become. If I did I'd have probably picked something a little more creative. I dunno, something like free_republic_freedom_freak or some such.
