Actually, in my earlier post, I was merely sniping at the way that the report had been presented in the media, so as to infer that the Bush administration could have known, and should have known, exactly what was to happen on 9-11, and thus was in a position to prevent it. The administration did a fine job of refuting these bogus claims, particularly by disclosing that most of the intel was fragmentary and not verified, and that the dims had been briefed with the same intel at the same time as the executive.
Not to say that we (the country) wouldn't benefit by an objective analysis of our security aparatus and policies. Too bad the dims would never permit this. They have clearly shown that they will use this issue (and any other issue they possibly can) for partisan political advantage. I sincerely hope that the majority sees them for what they are -- truly despicable and borderline traitorous rats.
