I don't know what to make of this other than that they are very fascinating and possibly prognostic insights on what may be happening now

In fact, it's a joke in a 1975 satirical novel (The Illuminatus Triology by Robert Anton Wilson, I think) that Satanists deliberately infiltrate the Church and do nasty things so it will be blamed on Catholics. I thought that sounded ridiculously odd and outlandish when this line was pointed out to me years ago by a SciFi fanatic, but now...I'm not so sure...

And how devilish it is to inure Catholics to this - so that we now accept this as commonplace and just one of those things we're supposed to live with.
