The article gives no description of who the anti-Israel demonstrators were. This failure suggests to me that they were not white American radical leftists, as I think the article would make that clear.

I disagree, leftists are a protected group too. But, if they were white, it would have been assumed they were right-wing. Most of the Jew-hating comes from the left.

If the demonstrators were white leftists, the media might not let us know they were leftists, but I am sure they would let us know that they were white. We were told no such thing. QED.
