Two small bombs exploded close to two luxury hotels in Turkey's city of Istanbul Monday, however there were no reports of injuries, the Anatolia news agency reported.
The first bomb blew up in a car park near the Ritz-Carlton hotel in the Dolmabahce district of the city's European quarter, followed minutes later by another explosion near the Ceylan Intercontinental hotel, it said.
Police bomb disposal experts claimed the explosives had been designed to cause little damage and maximum noise, it added.
Istanbul's police chief Hasan Ozdemir played down the blasts.
"They were simple explosions. They have nothing to do with the hotels and there is no damage," he made clear.
