Matt makes no attempt to hide that he likes and admires Ann and they are friends. I always wondered if it went beyond mere friendship though.........certainly couldn't blame the guy at all!

I didn't know that Xena, that does destroy my hypothesis........but, if ever there was a person who could cause someone to switch teams, I'd put my money on Ann.

Although Matt is said to switch hit down there in Miami, he has asked Ann out on 'informal dates' many times to the Correspondants Dinner and other social events.

They have too much in common not to enjoy each others company, I don't think Ann is Matt's 'beard' at all.
