And one is reminded that Hijazi was Saddam's man at the IIS. Not to mention his personal liaison to al-Qaeda.

And that he is in custody, having been ratted out by the Syrians.

Bigger fish than al-Ani. In a sense, this also makes the Telegraph's purported al-Habboush memo to Saddam a little more credible. If Atta was being 'run' by Hijazi, the memo would be consistent with an operation that is very closely held, at a very high level.

I forgot about this. If Atta went to Prague, it might not have been Al Ani, but Hijazi he met. I wonder what the status of that story is...
