I saw a bumper sticker today that said "impeach bush" and I was going to flip off the driver but they were in the turn lane and got away. So I just pointed at it and I'm sure people saw it had to decide what they thought about it.
Everything you wrote is right on the money. It just seems that we have got a real uphill battle to fight. I haven't given up but damn it's frustrating.
But do you remember the panic in the media in the first few weeks after 9/11? The way the angry emails went pouring in and they were forced to apologize for things left and right? The way we made all of 'em wear those damnable American flag lapel pins? They were scared. The day they feared the worst looked like it had arrived- the masses had risen up against 'em.
They think they've got us back to sleep now. But there's no reason why we can't continue to be the ones to yank their leash. People have lost the intensity they had- they're sitting back to see what comes of it so far. But Conservative voices are being heard now- and even listened to sometimes. We don't have to quit fighting though. You can make a difference every time you come across a lefty. Facts and workable ideas should fall like rain on their heads- they'll get wet in the end.
