IMHO, Rush et al have to have a controversy or they become insignificant. Rush became the phenomena he is because he is negative. Kind of like the dems always vowing to "fight" for the people. Rush has to have a fight or he becomes immaterial.

He's just keeping his ratings up :)

Yet, in 1989, Rush was NOT daily bashing then President GHW Bush, was national, and had great ratings. Interesting , no ?
