I don't think that Preident Bush is too upset, or all that concerned about Rush ... right now. What we know about this President Bush , is that he demands loyality . He won't treat Rush ( and hasn't, I bet ) as Rush now seems to demand to be treated , as someone VERY " special " and oh so important. That , I am willing to bet , is what is sticking in Rush's craw .
Rush sees himself as a " KING MAKER ". When he went to the celebrations, for the post '94 elections, he was fawned over, and lectured the GOPers on what they must and must not do. Yes, he helped; however , Rush was NOT the one who got these men and women elected ; they did the heavy lifting. Rush is an egotist, and somewhat delusional. He's lost you, he's lost me, my husband stopped listening to him many years ago , and many more are tuning him out.
What annoys me, about the bashing, is that those here, who have reviled Rush, for years and years, anre nw singing his praises. The boring / never ending bashing, gives aid and comfort to those who trash & bash Bush and always have done.
Rush is a hypocrite. Yes, it's an act and " entertainment " ( ? not entertaining to me. ) , as well as being an arrogant man's reaction to not being kowtowed to by W. Come the elections, Rush will again be beating the drums for Bush. That would be fine and dandy, IF he had critisized the president in a less juvenile, petulant , more constructive way. Instead, Rush uses the bashing to replace actually having to do any work / thinking, about more substansive things; as he used to do. This was especially apparent today, when he grovelled to two callers, during the last hour.
Think positive.
