Why was she wanting to attend assemblies her daughter wasn't?

Perhaps because she is a taxpayer, and her taxes paid for the public school assembly?

She is a taxpayer isn't she? She has as much of a stake in what the schools are teaching as anyone.

Why was she wanting to attend assemblies her daughter wasn't?

Maybe to find out how her tax dollars are being spent?

MAAAAAYBE, she's read a thread or two on FreeRepublic, about the lovely and wholesome g.a.y. assemblies that had been held in Boston, Mass.

Maybe she wanted to see if the assembly was appriopriate enough for her daughter to attend? Or maybe she was concerned for other children? Why those homosexual activists can be given access to other children than their own but this woman cannot even observe it?

Any school assembly (in fact, anything a school does at all) should be open to full public scrutiny. Parents and concerned members of the community should be permitted to observe and record whatever they want, in whatever manner they want. If the school is doing something that does not bear public scrutiny, they should not be doing it.

I do not care a fig about the privacy of the students. I could not care less about the chilling effect of parental observation. If little Suzie cannot open up about her sexuality because her mother is sitting in the back of the room, I say "Bully for Mom!". If schools cannot find a way to do everything they want under these strictures, then that is probably a good thing because they want to do things they shouldn't be doing in the first place.

Sunlight is the best disinfectant.

Uh, to see what propaganda a militant pro-homosexual group was spreading in a public school at the taxpayers' expense? As a parent or taxpayer, why shouldn't she have that right?

I'll tell you why. Being a parent that is currently fighting this crap in our local schools (and we have been successful) this parent is not only a tax paying citizen with a student in the school, but needs to know how deviant the material is that is being aggresively pushed onto our minor children. Not only is this filth being presented in these "closed door" presentations, but leaks out to those children that didn't attend because it's encouraged for the students to disseminate the information to the absent students after the presentation is over.

GLSEN has become so rabid about the social engineering of our children's thoughts and beliefs, with respect to homosexual sex, that it has become a form of pimping through tittilation.

Can't you see how frighteningly aggressive these groups have become?

To eject a parent from a public school function is horrifying in its intent, and I hope she sues, and wins, a "closet" full of money.

Probably because the mother knew what kind of smut that organization was spewing. She probably had a tape recorder with her. Now nobody will know what went on in there and what was said, one could only imagine.

Why do you question a taxpayer's right to know how her tax money is being spent?
